Whamisa Organic Flowers Deep Rich Lip Scrub Review

Whamisa has always interested me - they offer a range of products made with organic ingredients, plus the packaging looks so beautiful. I am finally making efforts to try some of their offerings and am currently using Whamisa Organic Flowers Deep Rich Scrub. I received it as PR, but you can purchase it on* Amazon. Credithink is a reputable retailer of Korean beauty - use the affiliate code kbhobbit10 to save on anything they sell, including the scrub - find all of their products here.

Whamisa lip scrub is made with muscovado sugar, plant oils, and even salicylic acid to gently exfoliate and nourish the lips. The scrubbing particles are water soluble and not harsh on the lips (or the environment). The gentle muscovado sugar is paired with the more robust black sugar for a mix of exfoliation and conditioning.

The product is a beautiful deep brown with a light, barely noticeable scent. I have to compliment Whamisa on the packaging - even the tiny spatula was carefully wrapped in a piece of paper. The entire experience of opening and using this scrub has been wonderful.

  • How to use: Apply to moist lips

  • Gently massage

  • Rinse

  • Follow with an occlusive like a balm or lip mask

The brand says this can be used as an overnight mask, but that sounds a bit messy, so I haven’t tried that. If you take that route, please let me know how it turned out.

My impressions

Count me impressed. I don’t have big expectations for lip scrubs and in general, I tend to neglect my lips. But I’ve been getting more into makeup lately, and have some really fun lip tints and glosses - all of that looks a lot better on well cared for lips.

Whamisa Organic Flowers Deep Rich Scrub is wonderful. It leaves my lips soft, smooth, and ready for nourishment. I haven’t had any side effects like dryness or irritation. Each application needs only a little bit of product, so I expect to use this for months and months (about twice a week, currently).

I’m definitely excited to try more Whamisa products in the future. I may even have another review in the works.
