WellDerma Heartleaf Acne Zero 3-in-1 Body Wash contains 1,000ppm heartleaf extract, tea tree, coco-betaine and salicylic acid to help alleviate face and body acne. Mine came in a gift set with a silicone cleansing brush. The gift set is sold on Stylevana (discount code INF10KBH), but the cleanser can also be bought separately on YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT) and Jolse. Watch the unboxing reel here.
The formula has a skin loving pH of 5.5 and can be used as hair, face, or body wash. I’ve tried this on the face and body, but not on the hair. Perhaps someone who has scalp breakouts would appreciate this as a shampoo as well. Or someone like my husband who would be happy to have one product for every need (including cleaning kitchen counters).
How to use:
Gently massage over wet skin
Rinse
Follow with the rest of your routine
If this is used as a facial cleanser, you could start with an oil based one first (cleansing foam or balm), then follow with WellDerma. Sometimes I like to leave salicylic acid cleansers on my skin for a minute or two before rinsing to get the most benefits from the ingredients.
The wash is beautifully scented with green floral musk meant to relax a tired mind (sign me up). It forms a sufficient but gentle lather. I would have loved to see this in a pump bottle, but the existing packaging is OK as well.
The brush has soft silicone bristles that are easy to clean. It comes with a charger - I have used mine for weeks and still haven’t had to recharge it, so the battery inside must be fairly long lasting (I did charge it before the very first use). The handle can be extended, but I usually leave mine on the shortest setting.
My impressions
For a long time, I didn’t appreciate silicone cleansing brushes. I had a foreo luna fofo for months and months and didn’t really get the hype. After hearing James Welsh rave about his, I gave it another chance and did eventually notice smaller and cleaner looking pores. So it was nice to try another silicone brush brand. The WellDerma electric brush is lovely, and the handle makes it so easy and comfortable to use. It can be extended to cleanse the back and other hard to reach areas, although I tend to only use it on the face. The gentle massage feels great at the end of a long day, and often helps me identify areas of tension (like the jaw line) so I can pay more attention to them when doing my other skincare steps and massage them more.
WellDerma Heartleaf Acne Zeon 3-in-1 Body Wash is a wonderful cleanser. The scent deserves a special mention - it’s hard to describe but I adore it. I have used it as a face wash several times for testing purposes and it does a good job without over-stripping the skin. However, I mostly use it on the body now, especially after a sweaty workout. I don’t have bacne, but I do get little breakouts around the armpit area from doing weightlifting / sweating in a sports bra and shaving. The wash really helps minimize those and effectively washes off post-workout stench.
This is my favorite body wash, at least out of the ones I remember using. I only need a little bit per application, so it should last me a long time. Definitely a win.
