VT Cica Vital Toner Review

I love a good toner. Moisturizers are great and all, but they are meant to lock in hydration, not provide it. Adding watery layers before creams makes a huge difference for my combination skin. VT Cica Vital Toner, available on YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT) and Stylevana (code INF10KBH) came to me once upon a time in a PR package. The sheer size of this thing caught my eye, so I added it to my lineup almost right away.

This is a watery gel formula that promises to tighten, brighten, and balance the skin. It’s made with vitamin C and yuzu seed peptide.

How to use

  • Apply after cleansing

  • Follow with the rest of your routine

  • Can be used in the morning and / or at night

VT Cica Vital Toner has a gel-like consistency and a bitter, pleasant citrus scent. The fragrance is definitely noticeable but not long lasting. With the given consistency, a pump dispenser was the right choice. I’m not even sure the name “toner” fits this product well; it could have been easily called a “serum” and I wouldn’t bat an eye. But as always, brands take great liberties with product names.

It’s hard to tell by the pictures, but the bottle is huge - 500ml! I recommend checking out this unboxing reel to get an idea about the scale. VT Cica Vital Toner has a fresh, somewhat bitter citrus scent that’s noticeable but not long lasting.

My impressions

Seeing skincare in giant containers always makes me a bit skeptical - can a product that’s dispensed by the liter be good? Yes, yes it can.

VT Cica Vital Toner

I have combination skin with some dry and oily areas, freckles, and a few fine lines. I’ve been using the VT toner for a few weeks and am pleased with the results. Because of the convenient pump dispenser and the generous bottle size, I’m applying it not only to the face but also to the body. In fact, I use it more on the body than the face, because I have so many facial products already.

The toner does a great job adding hydration without stickiness. I am noticing a small increase in brightness, but my skin was already doing pretty well in that regard. If this is your first vitamin C or brightening product, you may experience more drastic changes. For me, this is helping with maintenance.

I love the pump dispenser - it makes the application process so convenient. I slather the toner generously all over my legs and arms, and have tried it on the face multiple times - it works well everywhere. Then I seal in with body (or face) cream and move on with my evening. My skin feels softer and smoother.

I highly recommend VT Cica Vital Toner, especially if you are looking for a body product that’s not just another lotion.
