Vegreen is a new-to-me brand (and a newer brand to the market in general). The name comes from combining “vegetable” and “green”. All of their products are vegan and cruelty free, which means they do not contain any animal ingredients and are not tested on animals. If you are anything like me, you are already wondering what the 730 in the name is all about. That’s because this moisturizing cream is meant to be used twice a day, every day. 365 times 2 is 730. It’s simply brilliant.
The Vegreen cream’s star ingredient is vegan squalane. Squalane is naturally present in skin, and applying extra from external sources can help improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles, soften the skin, and relieve dryness and dehydration.
How to use:
Apply at the end of your routine in the morning or evening
Follow with SPF if using in the morning
The cream is nourishing but has a non-greasy, pleasant finish. There is no noticeable scent, at least to me.
My impressions
I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry/normal everything else. In my moisturizers, I look for effective nourishment of the dry areas without congesting the oily ones. This Vegreen cream doesn’t disappoint!
I love the texture - it’s like a hug for the face. Very easy to apply, gets absorbed quickly, and there’s no greasy or oily residue. I do not use moisturizers in the morning during the warm seasons, but at night it’s exactly what I need. And I will happily use this in the AM during Fall / Winter.
Summer is a fun time for my skin (sarcasm font) - extra sun, oil and heat plus dry indoor air conditioned air all take a toll. I love having Vegreen as the last step of my evening routine. My skin is plump and moisturized but not greasy or sticky. I often spend some time after my skincare routine hanging out and writing blog articles (kids are finally asleep and the house is quiet), so it’s nice to have skincare that doesn’t stick to my glasses while I work.
