Tony Moly Panda’s Dream (Volume) Review

Who likes to buy products just for the packaging? I do! Who purchased Tony Moly Panda’s Dream mascara without any hopes for a quality product? I did! And who’s using it daily and is completely in love? Yes, you guessed it.

My experience with Korean mascaras started with Missha Over Lengthening Mascara. I quickly fell in love with this type of #makeup and how easy it was to wash off - just wet the lashes and gently slide off the polymer material. Nothing flaked or smudged.

I finished that Missha mascara and grabbed this Tony Moly Panda’s Dream one. I had to wrestle it away from my five year old (again, cute packaging) as soon as it arrived. I won. I bought the volume version, but there’s also a long lash version. Both are available on eBay, YesStyle, and SokoGlam (you can get $10 off Soko by following that link).

Mascara on both eyes:

How to use:

  1. Apply to clean lashes.

  2. Can be layered for a more dramatic effect

  3. Remove with warm water. Cleansing oil can be used (especially if you wear eyeshadow), but is not necessary.

The application process can be seen in my morning routine video. To see how to remove it (and how cool the polymer material looks), check out the nighttime routine video.

My impressions:

What a great buy and so affordable! I’m nearly out now, scraping the sides because I’m not willing to throw away any of the precious formula. I typically use just one coat and get a great volume and length boost. I rarely use eyeshadow, so a quality mascara is especially important. I used to buy what I would consider expensive brands (Benefit, Tarte), but even they flaked at least a little bit during the day. But the Tony Moly Panda’s Dream stays put no matter what. It doesn’t flake or smudge and doesn’t cause eye fatigue the way some long lasting formulas tend to do. I would absolutely buy it again, even though I love trying new things. And because it simply slides off the lashes, there’s never any black residue to cause “raccoon eyes”. A complete win in my book.

Do you know of any other “polymer” mascaras that are removed this way? Please leave a comment below - I would love to know! Trying to figure out what to buy next.
