I’ve been using T’else’s Kombucha items for several months now and have reviewed the essence here and the cream here. But this line isn’t complete without T’else Kombucha Teatox Ampoule, available on Be Mused Korea (code LUCY15), Amazon, Olive Young (code KBHOBBIT77), and eBay.
The ampoule promises to help even out skin tone and texture, smooth fine lines, and give an overall glow. In addition to 60% kombucha, T’else Teatox ampoule contains hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, arginine and turmeric to firm and clarify the skin with consistent use.
How to use
Apply a full dropper to the face after cleansing and toning
Gently pat in
Follow with moisturizer (and SPF in the morning)
Can be used in the AM and / or PM
This product has a thick-ish consistency (reminiscent of a gel) and not much of a noticeable scent, especially considering all of the essential oils in the ingredients. I find it amusing (and a little annoying) that the marketing materials promise “glowing skin free of irritation”, yet the ampoule contains orange peel and bergamot oils, both potentially problematic for sensitive skin. My own face has no issues with them and I do not know the amount used in the formula. Despite being a thicker product than many other ampoules, T’else Teatox still easily dispenses from the provided dropper.
My impressions
I adore this ampoule. It has a perfect texture and feel and is a pleasure to apply. Just like with the toner from the same line, I end up taking a few extra moments to massage my face just because it feels so nice. I like using the toner, ampoule and cream all in the same routine for an immersive T’else experience (this sounds like a fancy spa treatment).
My combination skin does well with the ampoule in the evenings. For mornings, I stick to the basics - vitamin C and sunscreen - but in the evenings I pack in as much hydration and nourishment in as I can. This is extra important now that Fall is (hopefully) near. I am so over the hot temperatures and the constant risk of sunburn.
The transparent label is biodegradable. I’m not sure if that’s why, or there is some other reason, but the labels on my entire T’else kombucha line are buckling and sliding off the glass packaging. I keep mine in the bathroom on the counter, but none of my other skincare stored the same way does that. Things like this is why I always take product photos before I start using the items, but it’s still a little frustrating. The bottles are glass, which is a nice touch.
Overall, love this line and so glad I got to try it.
