Store Highlight - Gachiga

This is a sponsored article. All opinions are my own.

One of the most common questions in my Facebook group Korean Beauty Fanatics is about where to shop for products. People want reliable, authentic, and affordable options - and I don’t blame them. Long before I had a blog or a single piece of PR, I was scouring the interwebs looking for the same things. One of my favorite parts of having a skincare blog is finding new shops to support and recommend to my readers.

Gachiga (from Korean for “let’s go together”) is a Los Angeles based online store with a unique shopping experience. They source products directly from S Korea and are very open to discussing any authenticity-related matters with shoppers (contact them at info@shopgachiga.com).

Here’s what sets the shop apart from anything I have experienced before - you can shop as usual and pay the “solo” price, OR you can do a group purchase with your fellow skincare fanatics and score a discount! When I hear “group buying”, I imagine a tedious process of organizing a group order, collecting money from people, having everything shipped to my house and then distributing it. Sounds daunting. Well, Gachiga is different. They have a detailed video overview of the process here, but in a nutshell - the first person clicks on the Group Deal button (with reduced price) and checks out as usual. Then, s/he receives a shareable link to send to interested friends. The recipients have 24 hours to complete their own checkouts with their own payments and shipping info. At the end, everyone gets the group rate.

Gachiga offers a carefully curated assortment of skincare. The reason I was excited to work with them is because I very rarely (almost never) try luxury brands, and they are typically difficult to find at reasonable prices. Gachiga carries well known names like Sulwhasoo, Iope, and Primera (plus others), and the group buying rate makes them more attractive than brick and mortar stores.

For myself, I chose a Sulwhasoo cleansing oil and an Iope Stem III ampoule (it promised to make me look like I get 3 extra hours of sleep, so I was sold). I will be doing actual product reviews soon, so stay tuned for that.

The package arrived quickly. All of the items were carefully wrapped and looked 100% authentic to me. You can watch the unboxing reel here. While I haven’t had these specific products in the past, getting as much stuff as I do on a weekly basis I’d like to think that I can spot a fake.

Overall, I’ve had a positive experience with Gachiga and I find their shopping model innovative and interesting. I also enjoy the way they work with creators - I’ve dealt with many brands and stores over the years, and some are just bad apples. Gachiga is a good apple :) They offer 60 day guarantee, plus free shipping and returns. The shop currently only ships within the United States.

Next time you are in the market for some kbeauty, round up your skincare obsessed friends and check out Gachiga’s group rates. They also have a reward program, Gachiga+, to help unlock even more savings. What will you buy first?
