SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Quick Calming Pad Review

This is a sponsored review with affiliate links. All opinions are my own.

SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Quick Calming Pads are pre-soaked toner rounds that promise to soothe, hydrate, and condition the skin. They feature calming centella asiatica, restoring panthenol and plumping hyaluronic acid to address several skin concerns in one simple step.

The pads are available on the SKIN1004 official site (get 16% off with code KBEAUTYHOBBIT), their Amazon storefront, Stylevana (discount code INF10KBH), Jolse, Olive Young, and StyleKorean.

How to use

  • Place the pads on the cheeks, forehead and / or anywhere else that needs soothing

  • Leave on for 3-5 minutes

  • Pat in the essence and follow with the rest of your routine

If I am short on time, I gently sweep a pad or two over my face and neck for some quick hydration and soothing.

The rounds are soft and pleasant, reminiscent of higher end sheet masks. Despite feeling thin and gentle, there are three layers of material to absorb and hold lots of essence. SKIN1004 includes a set of tweezers with the pads, and I find those very useful for separating the individual sheets from the set.

The twist top jar contains a generous 70 pads and comes with a seal to keep everything secure and leak-free. I do not notice any scent when using these.

My impressions

I’m not a morning person, so I keep my AM skincare to a very functional minimum. Instead of washing my face, I usually swipe over a toner pad to refresh and hydrate the skin and take off any remnants of my evening routine, then apply vitamin C serum and SPF (sometimes I’ll add an extra moisturizer layer before SPF, depending on what my skin feels like). SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Quick Calming Pad makes a wonderful first step of my morning ritual. These are fully saturated, so I definitely get lots of hydration with minimal friction. If I have extra time, which isn’t often, I use them as a sheet mask, especially on the cheeks. I love that little cut out side that makes the pads fit well under the eyes.

SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Quick Calming Pad on the face

I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry/normal cheeks. Dehydration makes my cheeks flake while my nose and forehead produce lots of extra oil, so I’m careful to keep my skin balanced. We’ve had crazy weather changes lately (just this week we had hail on Thursday and shorts weather on Sunday, 91F yesterday and snow today!), and my skin needs all the extra love. Plus, we spent a lot of time outdoors in the wind recently, which also wasn’t ideal for my skin. In addition to my morning pad use, I’ve been applying SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Quick Calming Pads in the evening and leaving them on while I do body care, then sealing in all the hydration with subsequent steps.

SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Quick Calming Pad, Cleansing Oil, Sunscreen, and Cleanser

I love the hydration and the generous number of pads included (70! These will last me a few months). Despite all the weather changes and switching from heat to air conditioning, my face is balanced with no excess dryness or oiliness. These work even if my barrier is struggling. Most of the other toner pads I see contain exfoliating ingredients, but my skin doesn’t always need that. What I do need is a reliable, gentle, effective toner pad for daily use and these fit the bill.
