SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Blue Serum is a multi-purpose product that promises to hydrate, soothe, and brighten the skin. In addition to the star ingredient - soothing madagascar centella - it also contains ceramides, adenosine, niacinamide, and various beneficial plant extracts, including ivy leaf to improve the look of dull skin. Niacinamide is a popular ingredient for improving the appearance of pores, fine lines, and pigmentation. Five types of hyaluronic acid hydrate the skin, while ceramide helps that moisture stay.
This serum is available in two sizes - 30ml (dropper bottle) and 50ml (pump bottle). Mine is the larger 50ml size. How to use
Apply liberally after cleansing and toning
Follow with the rest of your routine (like a moisturizer)
Can be used daily
Having a pump is a great packaging choice for this serum due to its thicker texture. It’s a gel, but still spreads effortlessly and my combination skin drinks it right in. The serum has a very pleasant scent. Most days, I don’t notice it at all (unless I put the product right up to my nose), and it certainly doesn’t linger.
My impressions
I’ve been using SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Blue Serum since late March and have nothing but good things to say about it. I have combination skin with some dry areas and an oily t-zone. I’m prone to freckles and experience redness easily - sometimes from breaking out, and sometimes just from touching or itching my face. Having a good soothing product available is a must.
I reach for this every time my skin needs a little extra hydration and plumping without feeling sticky or congested. I love SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Blue Serum any day, but especially if I spent a little too much time outdoors in the wind or the sun. The serum layers beautifully over hydrating toners (especially SKIN1004 centella toner, review here). I then top it off with moisturizer and wake up with a refreshed, hydrated, plump skin.
Overall, it’s another win from SKIN1004. For quite some time, I was only aware of their original madagascar centella ampoule and serum, but they make many more amazing products worth checking out. Stay tuned (subscribe below) for even more SKIN1004 reviews in the near future.
