No matter how many products I have (which is quite a few, believe me), I am still prone to FOMO (fear of missing out). Every once in a while, there seems to be a skincare item that everyone raves about, and eventually I succumb to peer pressure and have to try it for myself. Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Cream is one of those items.
As the name implies, Rovectin Lotus is a water cream made with 75% lotus water extract, niacinamide, panthenol, and other skin-loving ingredients - a full list is provided at the end of the review. It promises to balance the skin, improve complexion, and provide anti-aging benefits. The cream is available on Wishtrend (use my code LUCY15), YesStyle (use reward code KBHOBBIT for a discount), Jolse, Olive Young, and Amazon.
The cream comes with reusable stickers, which I absolutely adore. I did have to hide them from my kids, and it was totally worth it. I think all skincare from now on should come with stickers.
How to use:
Apply at the end of your skincare routine
Follow with SPF in the morning
The cream has a light, almost gel-like texture and no noticeable scent, as far as I can tell. My sense of smell is still recovering from a recent illness, but I don’t remember a fragrance before I was sick either. Rovectin Lotus Water Cream isn’t sticky. It dries down to a great natural-looking finish.
My impressions
What a lovely cream, especially for oily and combination skin types (mine is combination with an oily t-zone). In the summer, I just use SPF as my moisturizer in the mornings, but Fall and Winter are coming, so I plan to start using Rovectin as my morning cream before SPF. The texture is just right for me for either daytime or nighttime use (I am more accepting of heavier or stickier options for night, but definitely not morning).
My skin looks plump and nourished, but not oily, when I use Rovectin Lotus Water Cream. I love how easy it is to apply and spread around. I even put it around my eyes on nights that I’m too lazy to use a separate eye cream. Do you need a separate eye cream? That’s a matter of preference and some debate in the skincare community.
I do like the look of jars from the aesthetic perspective, but practically speaking tubes are much easier and arguably more hygienic. Plus, this packaging makes it easier to take the cream with you while traveling.
I can see what all the hype is about - it’s a great product that will likely work for most skin types. Definitely worth a try.
Have you tried this cream? What did you think?
