Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack Review

This post contains affiliate links. Product provided by Wishtrend.

When I first started getting into kbeauty, it blew my mind that creams were not clearly marked as day and night time options. Eventually, I learned that almost any cream can be used in the morning or in the evening, but then sun protection is added in the AM. And of course there’s something for people who want a bit of extra pampering before bed - sleeping packs!

Sleeping packs or sleeping masks are usually nourishing moisturizers. I’ve been using Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack as part of my rotation and am about to run out, which means it’s time for a review. The mask can be purchased on Wishtrend (use LUCY15 for a discount), YesStyle (save with reward code KBHOBBIT), Jolse, and Stylevana (use INF10KBH for savings, once per customer).

This sleeping mask promises glowing, silky skin. It contains calamine and centella asiatica to help with acne and redness plus ceramide, panthenol, and protease enzymes to support a healthy barrier function. Calamine is the pinkish powder often present in acne spot treatments and can make a big difference for active breakouts.

This product is cruelty free and made without artificial fragrance. However, that is not the same as fragrance-free. Geranium maculatum oil in the ingredients is a type of natural fragrance. I always recommend reviewing the ingredients list at the end of the review and patch testing if you have sensitive skin (and even if you don’t).

How to use:

  • Apply evenly over the face and neck as the final step of an evening routine (I use this after cleansing / toner / serum)

  • Leave on overnight

Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack is an opaque gel with a very faint, pleasant scent. My sense of smell isn’t totally back to normal after a recent illness, but even before that I don’t remember this product having a strong aroma. It can feel a bit sticky after initial application, but then gets absorbed well after 10-15 minutes.

My impressions

I have combination skin that’s not sensitive but is still prone to an occasional breakout. Since I’m very fair, I also tend to get red easily from little things like scratching an itch.

I have mixed feelings about the Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack. The slightly sticky finish isn’t my favorite, but I can live with it. Ideally, I would love to have a completely fragrance-free product that most people would be able to use. However, since this does have a couple of fragrance ingredients, I would be hesitant to recommend it to people with active breakouts. Even those without a fragrance allergy can become sensitized eventually, especially if applying over a compromised skin barrier. I don’t mind fragrance in skincare, but not if there’s an actual breakout.

I use this mask on my “good” skin days - when I don’t have any zits but may have some redness. It does make my skin smooth and soft, and the generous bottle size even allows me to occasionally use it on the dry areas of the body. My arms and legs have never been softer. It may not be nourishing enough for very dry skin types, but it works well for my combination skin as a moisturizer.

Overall, it’s a good product, but sadly not a breakout Holy Grail that it could have been.
