How to use
Gently spread over lips
Wait for 30 seconds to 1 minute - the mask will bubble
Rinse or wipe off
The mask goes on creamy and bubbles almost immediately. I don’t notice much scent, but I also use a fair amount of scented bath products (body wash, face wash, shampoo, etc) that might be masking it. I typically apply RiRe mask while taking a bath, so all of the aromas tend to mix.
My impressions
This is… fine? There’s nothing particularly great or bad about this mask. The bubbling feature is fun and provides skintertainment. The lips do feel slightly softer and smoother immediately after use, but the effect doesn’t last. I’ve had better luck with physical sugar based lip scrubs. RiRe is a lot more gentle than grainy scrubs and might be a good option for people whose lips are more sensitive than mine.
Does it soften? Kind of. Brighten? No. Moisturize? Also no. It can probably help lip makeup apply smoother and look better, but so can lip scrubs and or regular use of a good ointment (I like Cerave healing ointment the best). A warm, wet wash cloth has a similar effect.
Overall, it’s not a very memorable product. It’s cute and cheap enough and would make a good stocking stuffer or an add-on to meet a minimum purchase requirement for free shipping. Other than that, I would not go out of my way to get this again. However, I will finish the one I have.
