Once upon a time, Purito was a brand new company with only 3 product offerings - all serums. That’s when my love for the brand started. For quite a few years, I tried every new  release. I can no longer keep up with Purito’s expanding lineup, but I still enjoy trying new products and revisiting old favorites.

Purito Wonder Releaf Centella Cream is available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), and Stylevana (code INF10KBH). It’s the new version of the crowd favorite Centella Green Level Recovery Cream, promising nearly instant soothing relief while locking in moisture.

How to use

  • Apply at the end of your skincare routine (before SPF if using in the morning)

  • Gently pat in

The brand advertises this as “perfect for those with hypersensitive skin”. However, I would stick to the unscented version if your skin is indeed sensitive.

The texture is light and pleasant - definitely moisturizing but not heavy or sticky.

The change in tube design is supposed to be just a packaging change, however I don’t remember the original having such a strong scent. Purito started out with one version of the cream - scented - but then listened to consumer feedback and released the unscented version as well. The tube I have today has a pronounced, pine-like scent (maybe from the mix of lavender and bergamot, but it doesn’t smell like lavender to me). I haven’t had the prior version of this in years, so it’s possible the scent changed in the meantime or maybe my memory is going (along with my sanity).

My impressions

I like the light yet moisturizing texture and the overall feel of this cream. I don’t like the scent, to the point of it being a deal breaker. I’m not against fragrance in skincare, but it has to be pleasant and mild. Unfortunately, Purito’s scent is neither mild nor pleasant, so I find myself choosing other creams most nights. Luckily, Purito does make an unscented version with all the benefits and none of the stench. I’m sticking to that one from now on!
