PURITO is an old favorite of mine - I still remember when they only had three serums in their lineup, with peel-off labels on the pump bottles. A lot has changed since then - the brand now has international celebrity status with a huge assortment of skincare. What hasn’t changed is my love for their effective formulas.
PURITO recently released two new wash off masks. I already reviewed the clay one here. Today’s article is about PURITO Hydrop Sweet Gel Mask, available internationally on Glowmonde, Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), and Stylevana (discount code INF10KBH).
PURITO Hydrop Sweet Gel Mask promises to moisturize and replenish the skin. It contains natural humectants (sucrose and glucose), a gently exfoliating PHA (gluconolactone), plus nourishing and hydrating betaine and squalane for the ultimate combo of softening and plumping.
How to use
Apply a thick, even layer after cleansing
Relax for 15 minutes
Rinse with lukewarm water and follow with the rest of your routine
This mask is vegan, cruelty free, and comes in sustainable packaging to protect the ecosystem. The tube is made with 40% PIR (post-industrial recycled material), the cap is 100% PIR, and the outer box is biodegradable upcycled sugarcane. Detailed recycling instructions are available on PURITO’s site.
The product has a gel consistency and a beautiful, translucent orange color. The gel spreads easily and stays in place (no dripping!). I like to keep mine on for a full 15 minutes while watching some YouTube, and it doesn’t dry out or become uncomfortable. It’s also quick and effortless to rinse. I have not noticed any scent.
My impressions
So many wash off masks are clay based, so it’s nice to have something different. I have combination skin with some dry and some oily areas; PURITO Hydrop Sweet Gel Mask works well for me. I use it if my skin looks a little dull and / or dry and I want to quickly improve that.
Immediately after use, my skin is soft and smooth and looks extra plump. Sometimes, I use a konjac sponge to rinse off the mask for a little extra massaging action to boost circulation. Other times, I use my hands. I also apply this product to the chest area (spot test if you are really sensitive), because that’s an often neglected part of the body that ages just as much if not more than the face.
Using the mask a couple of times a week, I’m noticing a gradual but steady improvement in the appearance of my skin. The texture is softer to the touch and more even in appearance. The exfoliation is gentle, but it’s enough to make a difference. Sometimes, slow and steady really is the best approach.
Overall, I’m very happy with this product and it fits right into my skincare routine. I have a few clay based options right now, but no other gel wash off masks, so I reach for PURITO Hydrop every time I want to pamper myself a little extra.
