Right around July of this year I decided that my skincare stash was getting out of control and started to focus on truly enjoying and finishing what I have instead of constantly buying new things. Initially, I thought I wouldn’t be buying anything until September. Then I extended that to October. The only exception would be if I completely ran out of a specific product category and had nothing at all to use. Well, at some point I finished out all of my bottles of #cleansingoil but decided to try and use my 2-in-1 products. Slowly but surely, my skin texture worsened, I started getting closed comedones and in general looked pretty dull. The reason remained a mystery to me, until I finally figured out that it was due to improper cleansing! The 2-in-1 products (that combine an oil cleanser and a foaming one) are great as an occasional alternative to a full double cleanse, but my skin seems to get congested if I use them exclusively.
Purito released their new cleansing oil just in time. You might already know that I’m a big fan of #Purito and review their products often. I’ve purchased some in the past, but this one was sent to me by the brand.
The product is 100% vegan and contains the following natural oils:
Olive
Sunflower seed
Jojoba
Sweet almond
Grape seed
There’s no ethanol, PEG, mineral oil, linalool, artificial fragrance. The product is #crueltyfree and contains only safe ingredients (as rated by EWG). It’s sold on eBay, Amazon, YesStyle, and Jolse.
How to use:
Apply to a dry face with dry, clean hands
Massage gently
Add a bit of water and continue massaging (the oil will emulsify and turn white)
Rinse off and follow with your foaming cleanser
My impressions:
I’ve been a loyal Purito user for nearly three years now. I remember when they only had 3-4 products in their lineup, with stick on labels on the bottles. That’s right, I was a fan long before the big name youtubers even knew about Purito.
It’s no surprise that the Purito From Green Cleansing Oil is wonderful. I do not detect a scent (yay), it’s not drying and is very effective at removing makeup and sunscreen. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, but even after only several days my skin texture improved and pore congestion lessened.
The product is very gentle. I think it would be suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. The generously sized 200ml bottle should last me for a long time. I’ve talked about it in this video and showed the packaging (around time 3:42)
