The star of today’s review is Phykology Bright Tomorrow Multi Tasking Toner. You can see it “in person” in this unboxing reel. The toner promises deep, lasting hydration and even improved look of wrinkles and fine lines. The main ingredients include niacinamide (great for pores and pigmentation), seaweed (regenerative), centella asiatica (soothing), adenosine (tackles the signs of aging), and a specially formulated 3-Calming Complex.

How to use:

  • Apply to the face and neck after cleansing (ideally, while the skin is still damp)

  • Gently pat in the toner

  • Follow with the rest of your routine

For a DIY hydrating mask, soak cotton pads in the product and apply to the dry areas like you would a sheet mask; keep on for 10-15 minutes. I recommend using very thin Korean cotton pads and not the thick ones popular in the USA.

Phykology Bright Tomorrow Multi Tasking Toner has a beautifully thick texture (thicker than water but not quite a gel) and no color or scent (as far as I can detect). It glides onto the skin effortlessly and isn’t sticky or heavy. The glass bottle adds a certain level of luxury to the whole experience, but I do find the opening to be a bit on the small side. Given the viscosity of the product, I have to give the bottle a good shake every time to dispense the right amount. It reminds me of the shaker weight infomercials of my teenage years.

This toner is vegan and cruelty free and made without parabens, fragrance, and phthalates. A full list of ingredients is included at the end of the review.

My impressions

I have combination skin with some oily areas and some dry ones. Hydration is key, because when my skin gets dehydrated, the t-zone turns into an oily mess, and the cheeks start to flake.

I’ve been using the Phykology toner as part of my evening routine for some time. It would be just fine for mornings, especially if you have dry skin, but I’m incredibly lazy in the AM and do the bare minimum (never skip SPF). At night, I take my time layering various products. I love the thicker texture and how the application feels - the toner goes on so easily and beautifully.

I’ve noticed a huge boost in hydration, plumped up lines (especially on my forehead), and an overall healthy glow to the skin. It’s especially great paired with a hyaluronic acid serum (like the Phykology one). All of the zones - dry and oily - are hydrated without any pore congestion. It’s hard to tell exactly how much of this I have left (the bottle isn’t see through), but it’s probably at least half the bottle. It doesn’t take much product for the face and neck.

Great product from what sounds like a great brand. Stay tuned for other Phykology reviews coming soon.
