I’m pretty sure that buying lip products and using lip products are two separate hobbies… And yet I find myself drooling over pretty glosses and lipsticks all the time. Occasionally, I give into the temptation. Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint, available on Jolse, caught my eye with its dreamy packaging and glossy swatches.
The Glowy Tints come in 6 colors; mine is 01 Best Beige Menu. They promise a glassy, moisturized, long lasting look.
How to use
Apply any time you want a bit of color and glossiness
The beautiful bottle contains a pretty standard doe foot applicator. The tint is thick enough for an easy (not runny) application while still spreading well. Mine has a faint, sweet and pleasant aroma. Not sure if that varies by color or if they all smell the same.
My impressions
I like this very much, but don’t agree with the marketing claims. While the formula isn’t drying, it’s also not moisturizing. In fact, the pigment tends to settle in the dry areas, making them more noticeable. That’s a fairly easy issue to address - I start my morning routine with a lip balm, do the rest of my skincare, and then add lip makeup if desired. By then, the lip balm has set in and everything looks nice and smooth. I also wouldn't call this long lasting - the tint definitely leaves marks on drinkware and doesn’t last an entire day.
For me, longevity and moisture aren’t as important as a pretty color that’s easy to apply and doesn’t cause dryness. Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint checks off all of those boxes for me. Plus, the bottle is so aesthetically pleasing that I love reaching for it.
