Papa Recipe Hyaluronic Acid Serum Review

This is a sponsored review with affiliate links. All opinions are my own.

Expect lots of Papa Recipe reviews from me, because I seem to love everything I try (and I’ve been trying many of their offerings). Papa Recipe Hyaluronic Acid Serum is one of their latest releases. It promises to plump and moisturize the skin. In addition to various molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, it also contains rose water rich in vitamins A, C and K. This cocktail not only moisturizes, but helps improve the appearance of pores.

How to use

  • Apply after cleansing and toning (feel free to apply more than one layer, if needed)

  • Gently pat in

  • Seal with moisturizer

This hyaluronic acid product has a thicker consistency than the other Papa Recipe serums. It’s almost a lotion, but turns into a watery serum upon application, gets absorbed much faster and doesn’t feel heavy. The first ingredient is rosa damascena (rose) flower water, but the product has no scent. It’s ok to use the serum in the morning or at night (or both), but I mostly reach for it at night since my morning routine is very basic - sunscreen, mascara, and coffee.

My impressions

I use this serum on the face and body, just like all other Papa Recipe serums (I’m so happy the bottles are huge!). Traditionally, body care consists of washing and maybe moisturizing, but that’s really not enough for my skin. My face is combination dry/oily/normal, but my body is very dry, especially below the knees. Adding a serum before moisturizing makes a huge difference. My skin is soft and smooth - not only right after application, but well into the next day.

I reach for Papa Recipe Hyaluronic Acid Serum any time my face or body feels dry or dehydrated. It provides a much needed boost and plumping without irritating the skin if my barrier is compromised. I love having the huge bottle, because I can apply liberally without worrying about running out too quickly.

I seal with moisturizer before the serum has time to dry / evaporate and haven’t noticed any stickiness. It’s a great basic product to have on hand for the times the skin needs a pick me up without potentially irritating actives or fragrances.

Every Papa Recipe serum has been beneficial in its own right, and I’m so glad I got to try them all!
