Why is a kbeauty blog reviewing French body oil? Well, because it’s actually trending in Korea, and because a kbeauty shop sent me one. And it’s amazing. Plus, it’s my blog and I do what I want. But the main reason is that I’m very rarely impressed by beauty products anymore, yet this impressed me. And I thought some of my readers might benefit from the NUXE oil as well.
How to use
On the face, apply by itself or mix a few drops with your favorite moisturizer
On the body, apply in circular motions, focusing on the dry areas
On the hair, warm a bit of oil in your hands, then apply to the length and tips as often a needed
The scent deserves a special mention. NUXE describes it as an “irresistible scent of sunshine and warm sand” and that’s pretty accurate. It smells subtle, luxurious, and expensive. I wish all of my products smelled this way.
My impressions
I’m not super fancy, but this oil is so amazing that I want to have a bottle at all times. It’s nourishing but not sticky, fragrant but not overwhelming, and it makes me feel like I’m in a bougie French hotel getting ready for my million dollar date. Am I actually in my bathroom after wrangling kids and working and cooking all day? Yes, but who would ever know?
I have plenty of hair and face products, so I use NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil exclusively on the body. My preferred way is to spritz it over legs and arms after a bath, when the skin is still damp. The scent is lovely and doesn’t interfere with my sleep the way some of the more intense body care products do. It would make an amazing gift if you are trying to impress someone. Goodness, your mother in law might even like you if you get her this.
Aside from the amazing user and olfactory experience, the oil makes my skin very soft and smooth. My legs are definitely on the dry side, and the ankles can even get a bit scaly. That was resolved with the NUXE oil. I love the spray applicator - it’s a perfect, easy way to dispense this oil.
On a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate the NUXE oil at 11. Or even 12. Yes, it’s THAT good.
