I love multi-functional products. Not the “all in one” shampoo, body wash, face wash, toilet cleaner kinds, but ones carefully designed in a smart way. Korean skincare industry is full of ingenuity and innovation, so of course they make some of my favorite multi-taskers. Missha Near Skin Trouble Cut Spot Cover is a perfect example. It masks and helps heal blemishes. It’s sold on* eBay.
I have very fair combination skin - any redness or irritation is noticeable right away. I usually own at least one concealer at any given time, just in case. I do not use base #makeup (foundation / bb cream) on a regular basis, but spot correction is an occasional necessity.
This syringe-like tube contains a fairly thick substance that’s slightly yellow in color. On me, it adjusts to match the skin tone the way a bb cream would.
What #Missha Near Skin Trouble Cut Spot Cover can do:
Camouflage blemishes and redness, soothe the skin (thanks to the calamine in the ingredients)
Reduce #redness and irritation (thanks to caffeine and centella asiatica)
Won’t clog pores and would be suitable even for sensitive skin
The product is formulated without irritating artificial fragrance and parabens.
How to use:
Turn the syringe base to the left (to unlock it), press it slightly
Apply the product with fingertips or a sponge to the affected areas (I use fingers)
My impressions:
I’ve tried so many spot concealers, especially in high school. I struggled a lot with tiny forehead bumps that made my skin look very textured (I blame the move across the ocean and the Standard American Diet, also known as SAD). I bought products with benzoyl peroxide that dried out the pimples, but also bleached my towels. Why didn’t I have this magic syringe back then? I even talked about it in my Redness Tips Video (check it out for my favorite ways to deal with breakouts and irritation).
Missha Near Skin Trouble Cut Spot Cover is a wonderful product - it’s easy to apply and stays in place the entire day. It really does hide redness and helps blemishes heal faster. Most of my breakouts look significantly lighter at the end of the day (after cleansing). This is worth looking into if you have occasional skin problems.
