MISSHA Color Wear Browcara Brow Mascara Review

Updated: Nov 9, 2020

Have you ever noticed that the actors’ brows tell a lot about when a show or a movie was filmed? Long lasting soaps like Grey’s Anatomy showcase the entire evolution of makeup trends (check out how their thin brows and glossy lips gradually transform into thicker shapes and matte lipsticks). I’m not very trendy at all, but like to have eyebrows that are noticeable. Plus our faces lose contrast with age (lips, brows, and even eyes can fade). Adding more contrast, within reason, is an instant way to appear younger.

Nature graced me with thick, wide eyebrows that grow in a straight line (it’s as sexy as it sounds). They get pretty disheveled during the day. The color isn’t as dark as I would like. Using a brow pencil daily isn’t for me - it takes too long, I’m lazy, and I’m just not good at it. Plus a pencil doesn’t do anything about the hairs going in random directions. So what’s the solution? Korea, baby. Korean beauty solves all of my issues, as usual.

I used to buy Benefit Gimme Brow. It was good but pricey and ran out very fast. Then I took a chance on Missha Color Wear Browcara Brow Mascara (say that five times fast) and haven’t looked back. It’s cheaper, you get a lot more product, and it works wonderfully. It’s sold on* eBay and YesStyle

How to use:

  • Apply to brows. First against the direction of hair growth (to build volume), then the other way (to smooth the hair back out)

  • Can be applied in layers for a more dramatic effect

It washes off easily with any cleansing oil.

My impressions:

I haven’t regretted this purchase a single time. My eyebrows look “natural but better”, stay put all day, don’t smudge or flake. There are 5 colors available (YesStyle has pictures of each). Mine is the dark chocolate brown. The brow mascara dries quickly after application and you can touch your brows without fear of ruining the look or smudging makeup everywhere. The best part - application takes under a minute, and even in my constantly sleep-deprived state, I haven’t poked myself in the eye with the wand (yet). I definitely recommend this.
