I hope you’ve been enjoying my fragrance reviews. While I have some more coming up, don’t worry - the blog isn’t switching to a perfume one. Kbeauty, skincare, and makeup are still my primary subjects. But there will be some fragrance articles popping up here and there, because I’ve been having tons of fun with scents.

The worst part about getting into perfumes is the price. Designed brands often charge astronomical prices. MiimMiic Fragrance Labs competes with expensive designer fragrances without violating copyrights. They don’t market their scents as exact copies, but instead call them “inspirations'' and list the original fragrance so that buyers can get an idea of the scent while shopping.

I’ve been using and loving MIIM.MIIC No 79 CHERRY VANILLA WOOD, inspired by Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry. It’s sold on MiimMiic’s official website - feel free to use my affiliate code KBEAUTYHOBBIT for 15% off. I purchased this with my own money and loved it so much that I applied for their affiliate program.

This fragrance immediately makes me think of amaretto, which happens to be my favorite liquor. It’s beautiful and delicious from the opening note until the very last fragrant molecule. The cherry is sophisticated and complex, not at all medicinal or artificial. The scent lasts over 6 hours, which (based on reviews) is longer than Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry. The main notes I pick up are cherry, almond, and liquor. I only know that it has cloves, sandalwood, and rose because the notes list them. All noses are different and I don’t claim to have the most sophisticated one.

My impressions

Tom Ford makes some great fragrances and some not-so-great ones, but they all have one thing in common - I cannot afford them. MIIM.MIIC No 79 CHERRY VANILLA WOOD smells exactly like Tom Ford Lost Cherry. I got to try Tom Ford’s version in person at Mall of America, and my nose cannot distinguish between that and MIIM.MIIC, but my wallet definitely can!

If I were super picky, I’d criticize the packaging a bit - I prefer shorter, wider bottles, even better if the glass is dark, because fragrance should be stored away from light. None of that is a deal breaker, and I still reach for my MiimMiic bottle all the time. I only do two forearm sprays, sometimes adding an extra one in the hair. This creates a lovely fragrance that’s noticeable to me but not overwhelming for others.

I’m beyond happy with this purchase and will happily try more MIIM.MIIC fragrances. They know what they are doing!
