Make p:rem Peel Me Radiance Peeling Sleeping Pack review

I enjoy Make p:rem as a brand, because they offer unique and interesting products. You can read my reviews of some of their items here. The Peel Me Radiance Peeling Sleeping Pack caught my eye. It’s sold on* YesStyle (use reward code KBHOBBIT for extra savings) and Amazon (use code kbhobbit10 at checkout for 10% off anything in the CrediThink Amazon storefront).

This overnight mask promises to peel, tighten, moisturize, and even out the skin tone. I bought it for that last promised benefit (and because it’s so beautiful, not going to lie). I’m very pale / fair and prone to freckles. I don’t mind them, but would like to avoid larger sun spots. I try and reduce the appearance of freckles with adequate sun protection and gentle, regular exfoliation. Make p:rem Peel Me Radiance Peeling Sleeping Mask contains PHA (lactobionic acid), which dissolves the dead cells while forming a protective film on the surface of the skin.

  • How to use: Apply as the last step of your evening routine

  • Spread over the face, pat gently to help absorb

  • Rinse off in the morning

The brand says this can even be used daily, but I stuck to 1-3 times a week.

The mask is beautiful to look at and a pleasure to use, mostly - translucent, slightly blue gel glides on easily but is slightly sticky after application. It’s nothing extreme - by morning, the stickiness is gone. A small spatula is included. The scent is light, very pleasant, and hard for me to describe. It doesn’t linger.

My impressions

For context, I have combination skin with oily t-zone and dry/normal everything else. It’s not particularly sensitive, although it can turn red easily if I scrub too hard or even scratch a little itch.

I really wanted to love this product (again, have you SEEN the packaging and the color??), but I am left disappointed. The stickiness, while not extreme, is not my favorite thing. Interestingly, the brand advertises this as being non-sticky and fast absorbing (nope). I also had a hard time using up the jar before expiration date, so some of it went to my arms and legs. I try very hard not to waste products.

My main gripe, however, is that I didn’t really notice any tangible benefits. Perhaps this mild exfoliation is simply too mild. Interestingly, my arms did become a lot smoother, but the skin there is a bit neglected in general, so applying any product would probably have a postivie effect.

For exfoliation, I have much better luck with peeling gels or exfoliating toners. This mask was a beautiful waste of money. Have you tried it? What did you think?
