Korean beauty has many iconic products that are considered “holy grail” by fans. Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner is one of those superstar products.
The Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner comes in two versions - original and unscented. Unscented is essential oil free and should work for sensitive skin (full ingredients at the end of the review). It's sold on Wishtrend, YesStyle (use reward code KBHOBBIT to save more) and Amazon.
Star ingredients:
Beta glucan - a soothing agent with antioxidant properties, reduces redness and is great for sensitive skin
Hyaluronic acid - attracts environmental moisture to the skin
Panthenol - attracts and retains moisture
How to use:
Cleanse the skin
Apply the toner to the face and neck (use multiple layers on dry areas)
Follow with the rest of your routine (essence / serum / lotion / etc)
My impressions:
This is a great toner, especially if you have no experience with Korean beauty in general or toners, specifically. It’s really hydrating and has a slightly thicker texture than water. The essential oil free version should work well for all skin types.
I loved the texture and how amazingly hydrated my skin felt while using this. I have combination skin that gets oily when dehydrated. I love using 1-3 layers of thicker toners like Klairs Supple Preparation in the evening, before applying occlusive layers (moisturizers). In the morning, my skin is plumped up and more youthful in appearance.
If you are looking for a high quality toner without any irritating ingredients, look no further. I think everyone should try this one at least once. I find myself comparing most of my other toners to the Klairs Supple Preparation one as a benchmark.
