I’ve been curious about Jumiso for some time, especially seeing all the positive reviews online, and now I finally got to try some of their offerings. I received Jumiso Power Up Vitamin with Hyaluronic Acid set plus some other goodies. Watch my unboxing reel here.
The gift set includes two of the brand’s best sellers - Jumiso All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Serum and Jumiso Waterfull Hyaluronic Toner. The set, as well as individual products, is available on Jumiso US and the brand's Amazon storefront.
Jumiso Waterfull Hyaluronic Toner is a fragrance free, vegan product meant to provide daily hydration and soothe the skin while supporting healthy barrier function. The bottle is quite large (250ml) and has a convenient nozzle dispenser.
How to use
Apply after cleansing using hands or cotton pads
Gently pat in
Follow with the rest of your routine
For a more intense hydration, you could soak cotton pads in the toner and apply to dry areas for 5-10 minutes as a DIY mask.
Jumiso Waterfull toner has no scent (fragrance free doesn’t always mean scent free, so it’s still worth noting), absorbs fairly quickly and leaves no sticky or unpleasant residue. In addition to hyaluronic acid, it features several plant oils and extracts, but doesn’t feel oily or heavy. A full list of ingredients is provided at the end of the review.
Jumiso All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Serum is a brightening, vegan treatment promising radiant skin. The serum is made without essential oils, fragrance, and alcohol and should be suitable for all skin types. The main ingredient - 86.14% vitamin tree extract - is well known for its ability to heal the skin, brighten, and reduce inflammation.
Vitamin trees aren’t well known in the USA, but we had one when I was a kid growing up in Russia. I still remember picking the tiny berries and my mom later using them to make oils and salves to soothe the skin. It’s a lot of work, and I’m glad we can simply buy products with vitamin tree extracts now.
The brightening & balancing serum also contains centella asiatica - a superstar component when it comes to soothing, calming, and acne care.
How to use
Apply to desired areas after cleansing
Massage to aid absorption
Follow with the rest of your routine
The product comes in a brightly colored glass dropper bottle, but the serum itself is nearly colorless. It doesn’t oxidize and doesn’t need to be refrigerated. The gentle nature of the vitamin tree makes it ideal for beginners or people who cannot tolerate more intense brightening products. The texture is light and gel-like, with nearly instant absorption and no stickiness; I do not notice any scent. This product can be used in the morning or at night (or both).
My impressions
For context, I have combination skin with early signs of aging (I’m 33), a tendency to develop freckles, dryness on the cheeks and around the mouth with an oily t-zone.
Confession time - I’ve had the Jumiso Waterfull Hyaluronic Toner in my stash of unopened skincare for some time, just waiting to be enjoyed. If sealed, it doesn’t expire for several years, so I was in no hurry. Well, I’ve been missing out! I love the thicker-than-water texture and the wonderfully slippery feeling of applying the toner. I end up taking a few extra moments to massage the face when I use it, simply because it feels so nice to do so. The nozzle dispenser is a great packaging choice.
One challenge of having combination skin is the need for hydration without overwhelming the oilier parts of the face. Jumiso Hyaluronic Toner does a great job plumping my skin and hydrating the cheeks / neck / chest areas without congesting my oily t-zone. I use this only at night, but someone with dry skin or more time in the morning might enjoy it as part of their AM routine as well. Since the product is generously sized and well priced, I use it anywhere that needs extra hydration, including the chest area and sometimes the rest of the body as well. Fall and Winter are brutal on all skin, not just the face.
I’m impressed by the serum. My morning routines are extremely basic - a water rinse and / or a toner pad, vitamin C or another brightening product, then sunscreen. That’s it. When the weather is super cold or dry, I might add an extra moisturizer between the serum and the SPF steps, but most of the time I don’t do that. I’ve been using Jumiso All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Serum nearly every morning since I got it. I love that once applied, I can’t feel it on the skin. With my combination skin, excess oiliness in the t-zone is always a concern, and it’s a huge part of why I keep my morning routines so short and simple. I’m seeing an overall brightening and soothing effect from this serum without any unwanted heaviness. I don’t wear makeup daily (just powder), but I have tested this under bb cream out of curiosity, and it behaved just fine there too.
I’m careful with brightening products when it comes to the neck and chest, because the skin there is more sensitive than on the face. Patch testing is always a good idea, but I’ve been using both the toner and the serum all over the face, neck, and chest, and have had no issues whatsoever.
Overall, Jumiso chose two great products to include in this kit. Since they are vegan and fragrance free, they should work for a wide variety of people and make great gifts. Regardless of skin type and condition, most of us could use some hydration, plumping, brightening and soothing, and these two items offer just that. I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on Jumiso for so long! I hope you try it.
