JEWOOD Daily Care Gel Cleanser Review

This is a sponsored review. This post contains affiliate links.

I love the cleansing part of my evening skincare routine. There is something magical about washing the day away and starting with a clean slate for all of the other products and treatments.

Lately I’ve been enjoying the JEWOOD Daily Care Gel Cleanser, available on Amazon (the seller is located in South Korea, but you can get prime shipping on the item since it’s shipped by Amazon. I’ve worked with the seller’s team before and they are reliable).

The cleanser promises to strengthen the skin barrier, soften the skin, and support a healthy moisture balance. It starts out as a translucent / milky gel that turns in a foam with the addition of water. Don’t expect huge suds worthy of a bubble bath, but it’s more than sufficient for a nice, non-stripping cleanse.

How to use:

  • Pump some into hands

  • Add water, create a lather

  • Gently massage over face and neck

  • Rinse

  • Follow with the rest of your routine

I do not wash my face in the morning (gasp!). At night, I start with an oil cleanser, and then follow with the JEWOOD Daily Care Gel Cleanser. You can see an example of my evening routine, as well as how this cleanser works, in this reel.

My impressions

I don’t have super high expectations of cleansers - I do not expect them to hydrate or combat pigmentation - those come from the subsequent steps. What I do need is gentle yet effective removal of debris and oil cleanser residue without making the skin squeaky and dry.

JEWOOD Daily Care Gel Cleanser didn’t disappoint. It’s gentle, doesn’t irritate my eyes (although I don’t really slather foaming cleansers on my eyelids, some still manage to cause stinging), and doesn’t strip my skin. After I rinse it off, my face feels clean but still soft and hydrated, and I’m ready for the next steps.

Because of this product’s gel texture, only a little bit is needed for the whole face and neck. It foams quite well (without excessive bubbles). I think the bottle will last me for months. This should be suitable for a morning cleanser if you like to wash your face in the AM.

My combination skin has been doing well. The pores are looking nice and clear, there is no dryness and no excessive oiliness. I do enjoy the scent and the fact that it doesn’t linger. Overall, a nice solid cleanser that would likely work for all skin types. I’m curious to see if the brand will release any other products.
