Sea buckthorn is a well known healing ingredient and when I was little, we had a sea buckthorn tree. I was in charge of harvesting the elusive orange berries, then my mom and grandma made all kinds of things out of them, including concoctions for the skin. It’s not a super popular ingredient in the USA, but it definitely strikes all of the nostalgic chords for me.
In addition to sea buckthorn, this toner contains RESMELIN H, a patented plant extract with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It can even help minimize damage caused by UV rays.

The toner has a thick-ish texture - definitely thicker than water but not quite a gel. I notice a slight, amazingly pleasant scent that disappears almost immediately.

“Lucy, how come the bottle of toner in your pictures is half empty?”. Great question! When I was a brand new blogger, I tried to review every single product I bought or got as PR. Well, I can no longer do that. I only have one face and there are more new releases and old favorites than I can reasonably test. Still, I love trying new things. Going through my piles of unopened tubes and jars, I noticed that this iUNIK toner expires later this year. Instead of doing proper pictures and so on, I simply opened it and started using it. I didn’t expect much, just a hydrating toner. Well… I LOVE IT. And I wanted to review it. And that’s how these half empty pictures happened.
I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry-to-normal cheeks. My morning routine is simple and nothing special, but at night I like to layer lots of hydration and seal everything in with a nice moisturizer. I absolutely love applying iUNIK vitalizing toner because of its texture. It plumps my skin up almost instantly and the effect lasts well into the morning. I put this on the face, neck, and chest several times a week. Definitely a lovely hydrating product. I can’t speak to the brightening claims, because I use stronger products for brightening (vitamin C serums and so on).
This is definitely on my current faves list and I bet people with dry skin will love it even more than I do.
