Isntree Aloe Soothing Gel contains 80% aloe vera leaf extract, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, and glycerin to moisturize the skin. This product comes in two varieties - Fresh and Moisture; mine is Moisture. Both varieties are available on YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), Stylevana (code INF10KBH), Jolse, iHerb (code CWN6107), and StyleKorean.

Isntree Aloe Soothing Gel Moisture

How to use:

  • Apply after toner

  • Gently pat in

I personally use this as a body care product (more on that in the next section).

The gel is very easy to spread and gets absorbed quickly. I don’t notice much of a scent. If there is any, it’s very faint and doesn’t linger. The gel moisturizes without a sticky or heavy feeling.

My impressions

I’ve utilized microcurrent devices for years (watch a video about that here), and I always buy water based kbeauty aloe gels to use as conductors. I thought Isntree Aloe Soothing Gel would serve that purpose too. However, I could tell from the first application that something was different about this formula. Unlike all the other aloe gels I’ve owned, Isntree doesn’t feel light and watery, it has a definite moisturizing / emollient component. That’s when I decided to look at the ingredients (silly me, should have done that before ordering) and discovered that it contains panthenol. I’m not a cosmetic chemist (or any kind of chemist), but a quick Google search told me that panthenol counts as an oil. For microcurrent devices, the conductor gel has to be oil free.

Life is full of plot twists, and this was no exception. It’s still an awesome product. It has the lightness of traditional aloe gels with the moisturizing effects of heavier creams. It feels heavenly as a body moisturizer, especially on the legs after shaving, and absorbs quickly / doesn’t stick to my pajamas or jeans. It would probably work on the face as well, but I have enough facial products - it’s my body that’s often neglected.

I’m really happy with this Isntree Aloe Soothing Gel, even though I’m not using it the way I thought I would. It stands out amongst the sea of other aloe products that are mostly all the same (with the exception of packaging design or slight scent variations). I wouldn’t mind getting it again, especially as a summer body product. Definitely a win in my book.
