ILLIYOON Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream Review

I try a lot of skincare products and it’s somewhat hard to impress me, but I’m not immune to skincare fomo (fear of missing out). My Facebook group has over 76k members now, and certain products are recommended over and over. Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream is one of those products. If someone is asking for a barrier supporting, rich moisturizer for sensitive or compromised skin, at least a few people will recommend Illiyoon. Of course I had to try it; I got mine from Jolse.

The cream comes in a 500ml tub or a 200ml tube. I chose the tube. Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream promises to provide deep nourishment and soothing with a patented Ceramide Skin Complex. It’s made without animal ingredients, mineral oil, artificial colors or fragrances. A full list of ingredients is available at the end of the article.

How to use

  • Gently apply at the end of your routine

  • Pat in Reapply whenever the skin feels dry

The cream is quite thick but still easy to spread. I don’t notice a scent (fragrance free isn’t the same as scent free, so still worth mentioning). I use this at night as it’s too rich for my combination skin during the day. I’ve had the Illiyoon lotion as well (review here). The cream is thicker and with noticeable inclusions of what might be the ceramide complex - they feel like tiny pebbles / grains of sand initially, but quickly burst or otherwise dissolve during application. The closest thing to this I’ve felt before was shea butter - raw shea butter has similar inclusions in it.

My impressions

Hmmm… Whenever I review hyped up products, it’s usually pretty black and white - I either like them or don’t (check out my series of overhyped product review videos here). But with the Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate cream I’m undecided.

It’s not a bad moisturizer by any means. It does the job, and my skin feels fine. But it’s not my favorite product and I’m not too impressed. My gripes with this aren’t super serious - I don’t love the little gritty particles that are in the formula, and I also don’t love the texture overall. My favorite moisturizers are luxuriously rich and creamy, while Illiyoon is thick but not silky. I actually prefer their lotion, even though it’s not as moisturizing.

I think I’m simply not the target audience here. My skin is combination and pretty resilient, so I can get away with using lots of different products, including ones with fragrance, essential oils, etc. My barrier is fine most of the time, and when it’s not (usually because of tret overuse), I reach for Purito balm (review here). But for someone with sensitive, reactive, dry, or compromised skin Illiyoon might be the answer. Plus, it’s very well priced and even the smaller of the two options (the tube) is quite large at 200ml. Illiyoon is also versatile and should work on the face and the body, minimizing the number of needed products if someone is more of a skincare minimalist.

ILLIYOON Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream

Overall, I don’t hate it, but it also didn’t wow me. It’s a good, safe option for compromised or sensitive skin, but it’s not “sexy”. There’s definitely a time and place for products like this and I’m glad they exist, but it’s not going to end up on my list of holy grails. I will use up the tube I have, because again - it’s fine.
