Kbeauty is mostly known for its innovative, affordable, and effective skincare. However, Korean makeup is often just as good as the Western versions but much more affordable. I have been playing with quite a bit of kbeauty makeup lately and I am impressed. Today’s review is for I’m Meme I’m Afternoon Tea Blusher Palette, available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), and Stylevana (code INF10KBH).
I’m Meme advertises “delicious tea-inspired tones” and long lasting color. The palette comes in 5 versions; mine is 003 Champagne Party. The included colors are Chai Tea, Rose Tea and Hibiscus Tea. As a side note, I dream of a world where we stop saying “chai tea”, because “chai” already means “tea”. In the same category are “ATM machine” and “PIN number”.

The powder is soft and fine milled, easy to blend and has minimal fallout. It can be used on the cheeks / face or around the eyes. It’s best applied with a brush, not fingers, at least in my experience.
My impressions
This palette came to me in a Stylevana advent calendar, meaning it was a total surprise and I had no prior knowledge of this product. Silly me thought it was eyeshadow at first, and I didn’t like how red/brown the hues were - it didn’t look right on my skin.
Well, turns out it’s mainly a blush, although the brand does say it could be used on the eyes as well. But I still don’t love the colors on me. The hues are too warm for my liking. Back then I was even more new to makeup than I am now, so I decided to give this palette away to a close friend who likes doing makeup a lot more than I do. And she’s very, very good at it!
My friend loves this! Her direct quote is “OBSESSED with those! I loved the colors, I used it as a blush and highlighter on my cheekbones, it stayed on a long time and blended really well with my foundation!”. So, there you have it - a person who’s good with makeup loves this formula and the colors.
I have no issues with the formula - it was easy to apply and blend, even used as eyeshadow. It didn’t crease on my oily, hooded lids. It’s the colors I didn’t like, and that’s a very personal and subjective thing. All reviews are subjective by nature, but especially when it comes to color preferences. In general, I wish kbeauty had more cool hued makeup, but that seems to be a struggle, especially with eye makeup. Regardless, if you like the colors, this is a good palette.
