I’m From Mushroom Collagen Cream Review

I’m From is one of my favorite brands, and I always keep an eye out for new launches. Not everyone is a winner, but most products work well for my combination skin. Of course, I had to try the new Mushroom Collagen Line - the ampoule and the cream.

Originally, I thought about publishing just one article talking about both products. However, my experience with them is quite different, so I thought each deserved its own dedicated review. This one is for I’m From Mushroom Collagen Cream, available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT) and Wishtrend (code LUCY15).

The star ingredient of this new line is Tremella Fuciformis (mushroom extract), which is also known as plant-based hyaluronic acid. I’ve had one product with it before - Chasin’ Rabbits Magic Beauty Shroom (review here). Tremella mushroom extract is rich in beta-glucan, collagen-mimicking substances, and vitamin D to support a healthy skin barrier and cell regeneration.

The I’m From cream promises to firm up the skin and improve sagging and drooping, without causing irritation. It’s supposed to help with fine lines, including the eye area, nasolabial folds, and forehead.

How to use

• Apply at the end of your skincare routine

• Gently pat in

• Follow with SPF, if using in the morning

The cream comes in a glass jar. It’s pretty thick but not heavy, spreading easily over the skin and almost melting into it. I do not notice a scent.

My impressions

This was love at first swipe (or dab?). I knew this cream would become a favorite as soon as I used it. I have combination skin with some dry and some oily areas, a few fine lines, and I’m a regular tretinoin user. The I’m From Mushroom Collagen Cream has a smooth, silky, luxurious texture but still absorbs well and doesn’t leave my face greasy. It’s everything I wished Illiyoon Ato Cream (review here) would be.

I waited a couple more weeks to write this article, to make sure that positive first impressions actually ended up staying positive. And they did! I’m not opposed to fragrance, but I like that this cream doesn’t have a scent. It works well as a final step of my evening routine, as well as under tretinoin. On tret nights, I do my full skincare routine, let the moisturizer dry, then apply my retinoid to lessen the possibility of irritation - I have a detailed video about that here.

My skin adores this cream. I use it only at night, because it would likely be too rich for me in the morning. I wake up with soft, smooth, glowing skin and even my forehead lines look less deep. It also makes for a wonderful eye cream, but definitely do a spot test to rule out individual intolerances.

I’m From Mushroom Collagen Cream is taking its rightful place among my other brand favorites - mugwort toner and mask, honey mask and serum, fig cleansing balm, and many others. What a fantastic product. I already know I will repurchase.
