I'm From Licorice Calming Cream Review

I’m From is one of my favorite brands, and I usually make an effort to try most of their products. I'm From Licorice Calming Cream promises to soothe the skin and improve the appearance of post-acne marks. This new release is available on YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT) and Wishtrend (code LUCY15). The oil soluble licorice extract can brighten the skin and reduce hyperpigmentation.

How to use

  • Apply at the end of your skincare routine

  • Follow with SPF in the morning

The texture is light and pleasant with a soft, kissable finish. I don’t notice a scent. While my skin isn’t scarred, I definitely have a few pigmentation spots here and there, plus soothing is high on my list of desired attributes since my fair skin shows redness very quickly.

My impressions

These are my first impressions / initial thoughts because I’ve only been using this cream for a little over a week. I was initially hesitant to try it simply because I cannot stand the flavor and the scent of licorice. It sends me right back to the time I unknowingly ate a black jelly bean and had to spit it right out. Luckily, I’m From Licorice Calming Cream has absolutely no scent (and I’m not about to taste test it).

I love the light texture and how quickly my combination skin drinks up this formula. It should work just fine for mornings, but I use it at night. I like that it moisturizes but doesn’t cause my face to feel sticky, so I can still put my glasses on after the evening routine and work on writing reviews or reading a book. It also works well under tretinoin - providing enough moisture to cushion the potential dryness but not being occlusive enough to interfere with the prescription.
