Sunscreens are my best friends. I have lots of them but never let them expire (daily use means I go through the bottles and tubes regularly). One of my current sunscreens is Hyggee Real Sun Cream, provided by BeMused Korea (use my code KBHOBBIT to save on their full priced offerings).
How to use:
At the end of morning skincare (before makeup), apply a generous amount over the face, neck, and ears
Re-apply every few hours, especially outdoors / in the sun
Hyggee Real Sun Cream uses a combination of physical and chemical filters for maximum protection. The SPF and PA claims of this sunscreen have been verified by clinical trials at DermaPro Inc and OATC Inc.
In addition to offering sun protection (which is all I expect from my SPF products), Hyggee also promises to help even out skin tone with niacinamide, hydrate with lotus flower seed extract, and fight acne with moringa seed oil. If you want to see my SPF favorites, check out this video.
My impressions
I have combination skin with some oily and some dry areas. I really wanted to love this, because on paper it sounds absolutely wonderful. And I don’t hate it, but it’s not my favorite sunscreen either. Here’s why.
The application is easy - Hyggee Real Sun Cream spreads just fine. The problem is, it doesn’t seem to dry down / sink into my skin. So it stays slightly shiny and just a little bit sticky on me. A light coat of powder does fix this, but on weekends I like to only use an SPF without anything else on top, and I can’t do that with Hyggee without looking shiny.
This will probably work best for people with dry skin, or perhaps for combination skin during the dry / cold Fall and Winter seasons. But for the Summer it’s a bit of a miss. I do plan on using this up, however, since it works moderately well and the SPF / PA claims are verified.
