I absolutely adore Korean makeup but typically stick to more budget friendly brands. When a friend wouldn’t stop raving about HERA lip glosses, I gave in and ordered one with a gift card I had. The glosses are available on Amazon and YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT).
This collection consists of shiny finishes formulated with camelia extract and phytosterol to nourish the lips. I chose the color 422 Lingerie, described by the brand as “tone-downed mute pink color”. It looked like a good daily nude for someone who’s not super comfortable with bright colors.

Apparently, I’m a peasant with no appreciation for finer things in life. The gloss is nice. It glides on easily, isn’t sticky, and doesn’t have any unpleasant flavors or scents. However, I just cannot justify the price. It’s not any better than more affordable Romand, Peripera, or even Catkin products. I would not spend my own hard earned dollars on HERA, because it doesn’t have anything special I couldn’t get cheaper from another brand.
The gloss isn’t particularly long lasting, but it wears off evenly, so if I don’t reapply I still don’t look patchy. Sadly, I rarely reach for it in the sea of my other lippies, because it’s nothing special. Maybe I picked the wrong color.
Regardless of my opinion, if you have this product, I hope you love it.
