Goli Nutrition Review: ACV, Ashwagandha, and Superfruits Gummies

I don’t talk about this on my blog much, but I’m somewhat of a nutrition and fitness nerd. I love learning about how our bodies work and what makes them feel or perform better. Because I value evidence-based practices, I’m very particular about vitamins and supplements. While I will often eagerly try the next skincare product, I typically decline any partnerships for ingestibles.

But Goli Nutrition caught my eye. First of all, a couple of people I deeply respect (like Jude Chao from Fifty Shades of Snail) enjoy and recommend them. Second, I’ve been a reluctant consumer of apple cider vinegar (ACV) for a few years. I say reluctant because taking it is a bit of a hassle. I don’t mind the taste of ACV heavily diluted with water, but measuring, pouring, and mixing is where I typically lose motivation. I end up eyeballing the amount, which sometimes works out great and sometimes results in a concoction strong enough to peel paint off the walls.

So why take ACV in the first place? “Randomized, controlled trials involving both diabetic and nondiabetic individuals suggest that adding two teaspoons of vinegar to a meal may improve blood sugar control, effectively blunting the blood sugar spike after a meal by about 20 percent.” Vinegar may also help with PCOS, arterial function, reduction of body fat (especially visceral fat), and overall weight management. Source. For me personally, taking ACV (when I remember) greatly improves digestion and also noticeably helps with bloating, especially period-related bloating.

Goli Nutrition Apple Cider Vinegar gummies had my attention the very first time I saw them. And then I saw them again, and again. People really seemed to love them, so I indirectly reached out to the company through a friend and they sent me a bottle to try (and included their Ashwa and Superfruits gummies too!). These are sold on the Goli website and you can save on your order with code kbeautyhobbit. Watch the unboxing reel here.

All the Goli gummies are gluten free, vegan, and non-GMO. If you are like me and don’t consume animal products, you know how hard it is to find a gummy that’s made without gelatin (which isn’t vegan).

I’m not a doctor or a dietician, so I will let you read all about the lovely ingredients and the promised benefits on the Goli website. Let’s talk about my personal experiences so far. These are first impressions, because I’ve been enjoying the gummies for about a week.

The ACV gummies are my favorite of the bunch. They have a delicious, slightly tart flavor that’s full of apples and joy. Guess how many times I’ve forgotten to get my dose of ACV since receiving this box? Zero times. I look forward to these. They can be enjoyed several times a day, but I stick to once daily, usually with breakfast or lunch. Because I’m not new to ACV, I know what to expect as far as bloat and digestion, and these give me all the same benefits without any extra work.

The Ashwagandha gummies weren’t even on my radar until I got them in the mail, but I’m so happy Goli sent them. Fun fact - I used to be very much into herbalism and even took a few classes from a clinical herbalist. And while I definitely don’t know every herb, I remember ashwagandha. It’s an adaptogen that can help manage stress, reduce cortisol levels, improve sleep and the overall quality of life. Yes, sign me up. I can’t speak about the long term effect of the gummies quite yet, but what I can say is they are delicious, easy to take, and I eagerly reach for them daily. Supporting the body and mind takes time, patience, and consistency, so I’m excited to see what these can do for my never ending stress by the time the bottle is empty. I have been falling asleep easier in the last week. Placebo effect? Maybe. But I’ll take it. And in the spirit of a well rounded review, I’ll say that these do stick to each other in the bottle (not a huge deal) and have more sugar grams than the ACV gummies.

The Superfruits gummies may appeal the most to my readers, because they promise to support healthy skin, promote elasticity, improve collagen formation, and provide much needed antioxidants. Identical in size and shape to the other two gummies, these are equally delicious and a joy to consume. I’m all for getting as much as possible from food, but goji berries and other exotic antioxidant sources that are in these gummies don’t often find their way to my dinner table. I think a good balance of whole foods and supplements can provide the best results.

Overall, I’m quite impressed with Goli products. If I had to choose just one, I would go with the ACV, because I can already feel the benefits (and because it beats dealing with actual vinegar). But the cool thing is we don’t have to choose - we can try a full range of Goli offerings to see what works best - and don’t forget to use my code kbeautyhobbit. They also make a Supergreens gummy (which I haven’t tried) that looks interesting.

And of course please consult a medical professional if you have any concerns and / or before starting new supplements.
