I buy, test, and finish sunscreens often, but I’m not always the best at publishing reviews. Well, that’s about to change! My passion for SPF runs deep -I was a daily user even before discovering kbeauty (although back then I mostly used lotions with SPF15-20, and now I gravitate toward SPF50).
FRUDIA Green Grape Sebum Control Sun Gel SPF50+ PA++++ is available on YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), Stylevana (code INF10KBH), Jolse, and Stylekorean. It’s made with green grape extract and Anti Sebum P™ to regulate excess oil production.

Frudia Sebum Control Sun Gel goes on clear and isn’t drying for my combination skin. The scent deserves its own section, so keep reading…
My impressions
Why did Frudia have to make this sunscreen smell like cheap dish soap? WHY? I guess it’s on brand for them, because I’ve had some of their other offerings that I had to pass on to less sensitive friends due to the overwhelming scents. If you’ve tried Frudia grape face wash, the SPF smells identical but stronger.
I think this could have been a lovely sunscreen, because it goes on clear and isn’t greasy. It’s a bit dewy for me, but that can be easily addressed with powder. A lot of sunscreens aren’t as matte as I’d like, yes it’s almost never a deal breaker by itself.
The scent… Ugh! After using this formula the first time, I couldn’t bring myself to try it again for over a week. I was dreading the smell. But alas, I’m willing to suffer for the sake of good blog articles hehe. Anyway, the formula is OK if you can stand the stench. And the scent lingers, unfortunately, for quite some time. Ick. Shockingly, it doesn’t seem to irritate my eyes.
The brand promises sebum control, and I can attest that even the oiliest parts of my face do not look greasy when using Frudia’s sun gel. It would probably be among my favorites for the hot summer months if not for the scent.
