Etude House UV Double Cut Aqua Sun Essence Review

This post contains affiliate links. Product provided by YesStyle.

If I could make a career out of reviewing sunscreens, I probably would. I’m an avid sunscreen user, applying it every morning and usually reapplying in the afternoon if I’m going to be outside (including driving). Naturally, I go through sunscreens pretty regularly and enjoy trying new formulas.

Etude House UV Double Cut Aqua Sun Essence is a watery, non-sticky formula with SPF50+ PA++++. It’s available on YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), Stylevana (code INF10KBH), Jolse, and Etude official website. In addition to UV protection, it promises a tone up effect and wrinkle care. This sunscreen is waterproof, yet washes off without issues with regular cleansers (I prefer to double cleanse for the most effective way to prepare the face for evening skincare).

How to use:

  • Apply every morning at the end of your skincare routine (before makeup)

  • Don’t forget the area around the eyes, ears, and neck

  • Reapply throughout the day when outdoors / exposed to the sun

Etude House UV Double Cut Aqua Sun Essence is formulated with vitamin C, aloe, artemisia, and other plant extracts to benefit the skin beyond sun protection. It has a mild, barely noticeable scent and spreads very easily. A full list of ingredients is available at the end of the review. This product uses chemical filters.

My impressions

This is a wonderful sunscreen that should work for most skin types. My skin is combination with some oily and dry areas. I’ve been using this product for a few weeks and am loving it so far - the finish is semi-dewy (not greasy) and not sticky, as promised. I prefer a fairly matte look, so I top it off with a bit of translucent powder. The sunscreen doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes, which is a huge plus.

Overall, absolutely no complaints. I wish this came in a huge pump bottle to use on the body as well. There’s no white cast (at least on me), so it would have been a great option to use all over when it gets warm and sunny again.
