Dr Different Vitalift-A Eye & Neck Night Treatment Cream Review

Retinoids are having their well-deserved moment right now, and I see people ask about them in my private Facebook group all the time. While a separate eye cream isn’t necessarily a must, retinoid formulas made for the rest of the face are typically way too strong for the delicate eye area.

I’ve been using and loving Dr Different retinoid face creams (finished the regular - review here, then moved to using the forte version), so I was super excited to get the Dr Different Vitalift-A Eye & Neck Night Treatment. It’s available from Dr Different official Amazon store, Olive Young, and Stylevana. Watch the unboxing reel here.

The nutrient-rich formula of this cream contains retinal, peptides, adenosine, and niacinamide. The retinal has been stabilized using a unique liposome technology. A full list of ingredients is available at the end of the review. Retinal is not a typo. The main difference between the familiar retinol and retinal is that retinal is clinically proven to work 11 times faster and evens out the skin tone quicker.

How to use:

  • At night, apply a small amount to the area around the eyes and / or neck

  • For very sensitive skin, mix with another moisturizer and spot test

Dr Different Vitalift-A Eye & Neck Night Treatment Cream promises to improve skin tone and texture, increase the production of collagen, and reduce the appearance or lines and wrinkles.

The texture is rich and creamy, but not greasy. To me, there is no noticeable scent.

My impressions

I use this cream only on the eye area (my neck tolerates the regular vita-A formula fine) before bed. I started with just once a week, carefully gauging the reaction, and eventually moved up to every other day. I’ve had no negative side effects such as dryness or irritation.

Each application uses only a drop of cream, and the tiny nozzle dispenser is great for that. I did use too much at first and my eyelids felt a little heavy. That doesn’t happen now that I’ve reduced the amount of product applied.

I don’t have any major eye concerns (I’m 32), but prevention is key in most things skincare (and health in general). I do see a noticeable difference in the tiny lines under my lower lashes, more so than with other creams or patches. I’ve used this cream for a little bit over a month on a regular basis and am excited to see what it can do for me long term. Sometimes I also apply it to the nasolabial folds if I’m not already using an all-over retinoid on my face that night.
