Everyone is talking about Dr.Ceuracle Kombucha essence (review here), but what about the cream from the same line? Dr.Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Gel Cream, available on Oshen Skin (discount code KBHOBBIT10), promises intense hydration and nourishment.

The cream is made with the vegan tea complex of Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate, and Schisandra Chinensis Fruit Extract, rich in probiotics and vitamin B. It promises to improve skin texture, purify the pores, hydrate and support a healthy barrier. A full list of ingredients is available at the end of the article.

How to use:

  • Cleanse and tone the face, use essence/serum (if desired)

  • Gently spread the tea gel cream over the face and neck

  • Pat in for the best absorption

  • Can be used in the morning and / or at night

The cream has a light gel texture and a beautiful translucent tea color. It’s not heavy or sticky and doesn’t have a scent (at least to me).

My impressions

I have combination skin with some dry and some oily areas. Finding a moisturizer can be somewhat tricky since it needs to take care of the dry zones without congesting the oily ones. A gel formula is usually great for the warmer months and for mornings during the winter.

It’s cold and dry right now and Dr.Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Gel Cream isn’t quite moisturizing enough for me for evening use. It’s nice for mornings and provides an extra layer of nourishment for my skin before sunscreen. I like that it’s light enough not to interfere with anything like SPF or makeup, and it doesn’t pill. I also use it around the eyes without any issues, so if you are a skincare minimalist, you might like that too.

This isn’t as life-altering as the Kombucha essence (which is simply amazing and I want to bathe in it), but it’s a good gel cream. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it again, but wouldn’t turn my nose up if it landed in my lap. And people with oily skin might enjoy it even more than I do.
