There is no such thing as too many sunscreen formulas, and I love testing new ones. Reviews are subjective, but they can help the reader narrow down their choices and hopefully have a higher probability of a successful purchase.
Dr.Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth Moist Sun promises to feel like an essence, hydrate like a moisturizer, and of course protect like sunscreen with SPF50 PA++++. It’s a great way to minimize the morning routine steps without sacrificing results. This sunscreen is available on Oshen Skin (use my code KBHOBBIT10 for savings on all full priced items).
In addition to shielding the skin from the sun, Hyal Reyouth is designed to form a protective barrier on the skin to prevent moisture loss, yet it doesn’t feel heavy or suffocating.
How to use
Apply to all exposed areas at the end of your morning routine
Reapply every 2 hours or as needed
I use Dr.Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth sunscreen on my face, neck, chest, ears, around the eyes and sometimes on the arms as well. It has a gel-like texture that’s easy to spread, a noticeable but pleasant scent and a natural finish. I do not see any white cast. While I’m fair and judging white cast can be difficult on my skin, I believe this formula will be clear on any skin tone, especially since it uses chemical filters. It’s usually the mineral filters that have a risk of leaving a cast.
My impressions
I didn’t expect to like this sunscreen, because anything advertised as “moist” usually ends up being too much for my combination skin for daytime, especially in the summer. I was going to save it for the Fall and Winter until the co-founder of Oshen Skin said it’s her favorite formula. That definitely moved it up my “to try” SPF list.
I love the natural, velvet finish and a completely clear color. I’ve had some dryness and peeling around my mouth lately, so my usual SPFs for oily skin felt drying. Dr.Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth doubles as a light daytime moisturizer and helps hide any flaking without making my skin shiny or greasy. I use a translucent powder over most sunscreens, especially chemical filter ones since those tend to be more dewy, but I don’t need that with Dr.Ceuracle. It makes the skin look radiant and glowy but not shiny or greasy. It’s just the right amount of glow for my personal preference.
I’ve had no issues using this around the eyes, even when working out or sweating. My eyes are on the sensitive side and can get irritated easily, so it’s important to have sunscreen that protects the skin without making the eyes water or sting.
I don’t love the strong scent of this sunscreen and that’s the only reason it’s not a holy grail for me. It’s not a deal breaker since it doesn’t linger, but I would have opted for a milder smell or an unscented formula if I got to choose. Other than that, I’m very happy and will continue to use the tube until it’s out.
