2020 has been a difficult year for many of us. Stress, combined with all the other factors like wearing a mask, means a lot more breakouts for my combination skin. I like to keep calming products on hand at all times to quickly heal any problem areas.
I have now had the pleasure of using several bottles of CosRx Full Fit Propolis Light Ampoule. It was gifted to me but is available for purchase on* Amazon, Jolse, iHerb (discount code CWN6107), YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), and Oshen Skin (discount code kbhobbit10).
CosRx Full Fit Propolis Light Ampoule promises a radiant, glowing complexion. In addition to 83% black bee propolis extract, the product contains hyaluronic acid and panthenol to moisturize and rejuvenate.
How to use:
Apply a moderate amount after toner OR
Mix with foundation for an “instant glow” OR
Saturate a cotton pad and apply to troubled areas for an instant mask
The ampoule is gel-like with a light golden color. I do not detect a scent. You can see it in use in this video.
CosRx propolis ampoule is made without artificial colors and fragrances.
The packaging is beautiful and deserves a special mention. I have to admit that CosRx wasn’t on my radar much until they redesigned the look of their products. And now I somehow want to try them all.
My impressions
This is a fine product. I do not see any mind blowing glow from it, but I do end up with a hydrated, soothed face. Most importantly, it doesn’t irritate my skin further, even when used during a breakout.
I use the ampoule mostly in the evenings, especially if I’m breaking out (which is often, lately), but it can also be applied in the mornings. I’m a little more than halfway through the bottle. I like the light gel texture and no noticeable scent. Fragrance doesn’t bother my skin, but I still prefer products without a strong scent, if available.
I’m struggling with this review because I’ve been ruined by By Wishtrend Polyphenols in Propolis. That is my holy grail propolis product, and nothing else has come close so far. So, as a stand-alone ampoule, CosRx is just fine. Compared to By Wishtrend version, I prefer the latter. Of course, one would have to consider things like availability and price point when choosing which one of these to buy. Overall, there is nothing wrong with the CosRx version. I have not tried mixing it with makeup, partially because I rarely use foundation, and partially because I enjoy a matte looking face and I’m guessing the promised “glow” would make it look too dewy. If you’ve tried using it as a makeup mix-in, I would love to know how that worked out.
