I’m always looking for ways to protect my fair, freckled skin from the sun. I apply a good base layer of SPF every morning, wear sunglasses, UPF clothing and driving gloves, etc. (and yes, my coworkers totally make fun of me). One tricky thing is reapplying SPF during weekdays, because I wear a bit of makeup to work.
My Facebook group came to the rescue and suggested Canmake Marshmallow Finish Powder SPF26 PA++. It’s available on YesStyle (use my reward code KBHOBBIT for a discount) and Amazon.
This powder promises the smoothness of silk and the softness of marshmallows for your skin. It comes in several colors - mine is ML Matte Light Ochre. Canmake powder absorbs sebum and prevents a shiny/oily appearance. It’s even formulated with skin-loving ingredients such as squalane, aloe vera, and chamomile. How to use:
Apply at the end of your routine, after makeup (if wearing)
I like applying with a powder brush at home and with the included puff when out and about. I use the powder even when I’m not wearing foundation, right after sunscreen dries down.

The powder has a soft, lovely finish that’s mattifying but not drying. It also doesn’t seem to highlight any fine lines, which is a great bonus for anyone in their wiser years.
My impressions
I adore this powder! It’s exactly what I need in my life. I would use it even without the SPF protection, just for the way it makes my skin look. And to be perfectly clear, this isn’t a product to use as your only source of sun protection, but it makes a good touch up / reapplication option for people like me who spend most of their day indoors. If I’m going to be outdoors walking with the kids or hiking with my husband, then I either use my regular sunscreens (and skip all makeup) or this sun stick to reapply. Aesthetics are not very important to me at that point, as long as the product isn’t greasy or sticky and I don’t get burnt.
Canmake Marshmallow Finish Powder is easy to apply, doesn’t cake by the end of the day even with reapplications, and in general makes my face look how I like - fairly matte but not dry or chalky. My only gripe is with the included puff - it’s not the best, but it’s usable; definitely not a deal breaker for me.
