When I got my hands on the By Wishtrend Polyphenols in Propolist 15% Ampoule, it was just launched and hard to find. In fact, I just started my second bottle of this wonderful ampoule. If you are a skincare enthusiast like myself, you know how rare it is to repeat a product, since there’s always something new to try. Only the real must-haves find their way into my routine again.
I think it's pretty interesting to see how my product photography changed over the years. The ones with a light background are the newest.
The ampoule was developed for sensitive, redness-prone skin. Instead of water, it uses Houttuynia Cordata extract, which is a popular component for soothing and antiinflammatory products. It also contains propolis to speed up healing and calm irritation.
How to use:
Cleanse and apply toner (you could also add an essence, if desired)
Gently apply 3-4 drops of the ampoule all over the face
Finish with a moisturizer
My impressions:
I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry/normal everything else. I’m very fair and my skin can get red or irritated quickly. I try to keep some soothing products on hand for when that happens.
Products like this one is why I love By Wishtrend so much as a brand. It’s beautifully simplistic in its packaging and luxurious in application. I adore the clean lines of the glass bottle with a dropper. The ampoule melts into the skin, making it smooth and soft. I swear I can feel all of the irritated areas get soothed. The texture is almost oily but in the best way, without being greasy. It has a beautiful slip to it that I adore. I am struggling to find the words; I think it’s something people need to experience for themselves.
There’s no scent (By Wishtrend Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule is made without fragrance or essential oils). I find the ingredients list impressive (you can read it at the very end of this post). In between my first bottle and this one, I had a chance to try some other propolis products (like the Cosrx propolis ampoule), and Wishtrend is a clear winner to me.
I used this mostly in the evenings, simply because I have more time and energy to devote to skincare at night. My skin is soothed, hydrated, and visibly more radiant when I use this ampoule. It has quickly secured a place among the products I consider must haves.
