I love new types of products, and while I’ve had other powder cleansers in the past, it was only a couple. Therefore, By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash was still new and exciting to me. It’s available on YesStyle (use reward code KBHOBBIT), Wishtrend (use discount code LUCY15), Amazon, and iHerb (use discount code CWN6107).

By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash promises to be as gentle as a low pH foaming cleanser and as refreshing as a scrub. It contains green tea powder, papain enzyme, baking soda and a coconut-based surfactant to gently clear away debris and impurities.

How to use:

  • Shake out desired amount of powder into wet hands

  • Add water (the more you add, the more gentle it would be) and work into a foam

  • Gently massage over face, rinse

  • Follow with the rest of your routine

I use this product as a second step after cleansing oil a few times a week. I’ve had it for several months and still have more than half the bottle, because not a lot is needed for each use. I add what I would consider a reasonable amount of water. I can still feel some of the little granules as I massage my face, but it’s not harsh or unpleasant. And I really enjoy the green tea / matcha smell of this cleanser.

My impressions

I don’t know about you, but when I see baking soda in the ingredients, I get worried that the product will be too harsh or stripping. That hasn’t been my experience with the By Wishtrend Enzyme Wash. I find it does a great job at removing anything my oil cleanser left behind, while gently exfoliating. It probably wouldn’t be ideal for me as a daily product, but used a few times a week it’s just perfect.

Immediately after cleansing with this powder wash, my face feels extra smooth without being squeaky clean (aka stripped). It feels like everything I put on afterwards just works better. Maybe that’s wishful thinking, but I’m going with it.

This is definitely an interesting product and I like it. I’m not sure how it would perform for very sensitive skin, but for my combination skin it’s great.
