I usually have at least one cica product on my counter - you never know when redness or a breakout will strike. Centella asiatica is a popular soothing and calming ingredient in Korean skincare. Lately, I’ve been using By Wishtrend Cera-Barrier Soothing Ampoule, available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), and iHerb (code CWN6107).

Cica, plant-based squalane, and ceramide come together to strengthen skin and help with flare ups. Seven peptides help mitigate the signs of aging. Clinically proven to be suitable for sensitive skin.

How to use

  • Apply to clean skin

  • Lock in with moisturizer

By Wishternd Cera-Barrier Soothing Ampoule has a light texture and no scent. It’s easy to apply and spread. I use this at night, after toner, and then finish with moisturizer. There is no stickiness, unless the moisturizer itself is sticky or heavy.

My impressions

My only major complaint about this soothing ampoule is the size. Why is it only 30ml?! I don’t want to ration my soothing products to this extent. When my skin is red, irritated, and generally mad at life, I want to bathe in cica, not count drops. Give me a bigger bottle!

Other than that, it’s great - like a little hug for angry skin. I’m a recovering skin picker, and while I no longer pick every day, I still revert to that in times of heightened stress. I pick to the point of redness and burning, but not bleeding. The Cera-Barrier ampoule helps a lot, but of course I’m not advocating putting anything on damaged skin. Please use your best judgment and consult a doctor if in doubt.

Aside from pick-fests, I generally enjoy By Wishtrend Soothing Ampoule when my skin needs a little boost. I have fair, combination skin that shows redness quickly. One wrong look, one scratched itch and you can see the red marks. The ampoule helps calm things down rather quickly. It would likely be great for dry, wind-burnt skin in the Fall and Winter, but my own bottle will not last me that long.

I’m not sure why this is currently unavailable on YesStyle and not even listed on Wishtrend. Maybe they are coming out with a bigger bottle? I kid. It’s still around on other sites I listed, so if you can get some - do! It’s worth a try.
