I’m on an ongoing quest to get my body shin looking and feeling better. I actually started to get body-specific products now and not simply use up whatever didn’t work on my face (although I still do that as well). I recently reviewed Beyond Total Recovery Body Moisturizer here, but I’ve also been enjoying Beyond Deep Moisture Honey Body Emulsion from Jolse.
This product is made with panthenol, rice milk, honey, and olive oil and promises long lasting moisture without a sticky feeling. The bottle is an impressive 1 liter in size - enough for frequent and generous applications.
How to use
Apply all over the body as needed
My favorite way is to use this emulsion while the skin is still damp from bathing. Sometimes, I’ll use a toner first, then this lotion.
In the USA, emulsions are more commonly known as lotions - thinner, lighter moisturizers (compared to creams). This Beyond one has a milky, somewhat runny texture and a non-sticky finish. It’s very easy to spread, absorbs well, and has a faint but still noticeable honey and musk scent that doesn’t linger too long.
My impressions
If my skin is very rough, scaly, and terribly dry (usually due to neglect on my end), I reach for the Beyond moisturizer, because it’s thicker and richer. But for basic, daily maintenance, I love the emulsion. Plus, I like its scent even more than the cream’s.
Because the emulsion is pretty liquid, it’s very easy to apply all over the body without that taking forever. My skin absorbs it quickly, so I can get my jammies on almost immediately after (an important consideration, because it’s so cold right now and I’m not a warm person in general).
I definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a body moisturizer that’s nourishing without being greasy.
