What is going on with cleansing foams lately? I very rarely get excited about foaming cleansers, but the recent things I’ve tried have all been amazing. Maybe 2021 is the year we finally get skincare routines where every step is pure perfection (sorry, teenage Lucy from 13-15 years ago, drowning her sorrows in Clean & Clear). Kids have it so easy these days! Yes, I sound ancient, and I’m ok with it.
Anyway… BePlain Greenful pH-Balanced Cleansing Foam is made with 33% mung bean extract and amino-acid based surfactants to cleanse impurities without stripping the skin. Because of the natural ingredients in the formula, some variation in product color is to be expected. It’s available on iHerb (save with my code CWN6107) and Amazon.
How to use:
Can be used in the morning or at night
Mix a bean-sized amount with some water in your palms
Work into a lather and gently massage over the face and neck
Rinse and follow with the rest of your routine
The cleanser contains mung bean powder, which is visible to the naked eye and provides very gentle exfoliation. I use this all over the face, including the eye area, and have no issues whatsoever. Of course, all skin is different.
I don’t notice any particular scent, other than a slight natural herbal one that is barely noticeable. BePlain Cleansing Foam is cruelty free.
My impressions
When I got BePlain Greenful pH-Balanced Cleansing foam in PR, I wasn’t totally excited about it. Sure, another foaming cleanser - a good, necessary, but hardly flashy skincare step.
I was so wrong. This cleanser is amazing, and I keep reaching for it all the time. Mine is a lovely forest green color. It foams into very gentle bubbles that cleanse without causing dryness. I only use cleansers in the evenings (I don’t wash my face in the mornings).
My only wish is for the package to be larger, because I’m almost out and it makes me so sad. I rarely get the same cleanser more than once, since there are so many great ones to try, but I would 100% repurchase this one!
