AXIS-Y is a new to me brand of Korean skincare that uses high quality ingredients. What really stands out is the brand’s focus on the climate and its effects on the skin. Their 6+1+1 Advanced Formula skincare (611) was developed specifically for people with acne-prone, oily skin who live in a humid climate. 611 means 6 key / active ingredients, 1 core ingredient, and 1 patented technology.

Today’s review is about AXIS-Y Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream. It’s sold on* YesStyle (use reward code KBHOBBIT for an extra discount) and their official website.
I have combination skin, and I bet many of my readers know the struggle - dry, sometimes flakey cheeks (U-zone) and oily, shiny nose / forehead (T-zone). AXIS-Y Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream is designed to allow the user the freedom to customize their skincare.
This product is vegan, cruelty free, and made without parabens, mineral oil, and artificial colors and fragrances. Both creams feature centella asiatica to soothe irritation, sorghum to brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and allantoin to fight premature aging.
Further, the U zone cream contains purslane to stimulate collagen production, while T zone cream focuses on sage to regulate sebum and rice to brighten.
How to use:
Apply the T zone cream (lilac) to the oily areas and the U zone (white) to the dry areas
Sometimes, I use the T zone cream all over the face in the morning and the U zone (also all over) before bed.
My impressions
I’m really particular about moisturizers. Because of my combination skin, I need something that provides enough moisture to the dry areas without being too much for the oily ones. It’s always a struggle, to be honest. I usually have a day product and a separate night product.
I’m really liking the AXIS-Y Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream. First of all, it takes less counter space than separate products (anyone as into skincare as I am knows that bathroom space is precious). Second, from a purely aesthetic perspective, it’s absolutely beautiful to look at.
Both creams have a light, gel-like texture, with the U zone cream (white) being more nourishing. I’ve been using them in all the different ways for about a month now - sometimes I use T zone in the morning and U zone at night, sometimes I combine them to target specific areas of the face.
No matter how I use the creams, my face is moisturized but not oily, and they both work well under makeup. Someone with extremely dry skin may need something even more nourishing overnight, but for my combination skin it’s perfect.
I really appreciate the flexibility AXIS-Y Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream offers. Midwest weather is very unpredictable - we can have shorts weather on Monday and be shoveling snow on Thursday (seriously, it has happened), so I love being able to quickly choose which cream to apply where.
I’m glad I chose this cream as one of the AXIS-Y products to try. It’s interesting, it works, and it’s pretty to look at. All good things.
