Occasionally, a product haunts me for months at a time. I add it to cart, then tell myself I don’t need it, then regret not buying it. That was definitely the case with AMUSE Soft Cream Cheek. The very first time I saw it, the color that caught my eye was out of stock. I waited. Then I changed my mind. And on and on and on it went until I finally just bought it.

The cream cheek comes in 4 colors (two matte and two shimmery) - I chose 03 Peach Tan. It’s available on Amazon and YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT).

The blush promised to add a “sun kissed glow” to the skin in a silky, lightweight formula.

AMUSE Soft Cream Cheek

How to use

  • Apply a few dots to the skin using the star shaped applicator

  • Blend with sponge or fingers (I use fingers)

The applicator is soft and easy to use. I have combination skin and stick to a minimal morning routine - vitamin C and sunscreen. Once SPF is dry, I use some Amuse blush and top everything off with Canmake marshmallow powder, focusing on the middle of my face / t-zone.

My impressions

Even though I’ve used this product many times, I’m still not sure if I like it or not. When this happens, I tend to turn to pros and cons lists. So, here we go.

Pros:

  • Adorable packaging with a star shaped applicator

  • Easy to use formula - spreads well, isn’t patchy

  • Highly portable, great for travel

Cons:

  • Very little color payoff, even on pale skin like mine

AMUSE Soft Cream Cheek

Yes, there’s only one con, but it’s significant. I will make every attempt to use up Amuse Soft Cream Cheek blush, but I won’t be getting it again - at least not in this color. It adds a tiny bit of peachy warmth to the complexion, but it’s significantly less than any of my other blushes. However, it would make a great gift for someone just getting into makeup (thinking about my 10 year old), because the chances of overdoing it and looking comical are minimal. If you are even more fair / pale than I am, perhaps this blush is exactly what your skin needs!
