My most recent Jolse order had a few lip products. It would have gotten more, but I try to control myself, because buying lip stuff and using it seem to be two totally different hobbies. But I allowed one new tint - Amuse Jel-Fit Tint. Besides, a friend recommended the brand to me, so it was basically my duty to try something.
Amuse advertises a “kissable pout” with a glossy finish and a color that will stay all day. There are eight shade options; I chose #03 Nupink.
How to use
Apply to lips as often as desired.
In addition to obviously being makeup, the tint promises some skincare benefits due to hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and peach extract in the ingredients. It’s light yet creamy and has a very faint scent that I barely notice.
My impressions
I really like this! The texture is pleasant, there’s no dryness, and the color I chose looks good to me. The friend who originally recommended this brand is disappointed (her review here), because the tint isn’t long lasting. But for me, the longevity of the color isn’t a huge deal. As long as the lipstick or tint is fading evenly and doesn’t look patchy, I’m fine.
Amuse Jel-Fit tint is so fun to use and so pleasant on the lips that I’m willing to trade some longevity for that. Typically, long lasting formulas tend to parch the lips and / or fade unevenly, setting into dry patches and looking a little strange by the end of the day. Amuse doesn’t do any of that. But it’s unfortunate that Amuse advertises all day staying power, because the formula definitely falls short of even half-day wear.
For me, this is more of a liquid lip balm with an added benefit of temporary color than a long-lasting makeup item, and I’m totally ok with that.
